POWER AND ELEGANCE - THE INNOVATIVE CROSSOVER BETWEEN VIOLIN & ELECTRIC GUITAR - Golden Salt brings the power of rock intertwined in an original way to the sophistication of classical music, drawing inspiration from different seemingly incompatible musical genres: from Paganini to AC/DC, from Bach to Madonna, from Pachelbel to Green Day. In their extraordinary repertoire there are covers, medleys and original songs written by the duo, in a mix styles that lead to spectacular, unpredictable and dynamic concerts.

CONCERTS AND FESTIVALS - The duo is active in live concerts and festivals throughout Italy. In 2019 Golden Salt won the Krishna Music record award in the worldwide Emergenza Festival contest. The duo has also gained access to the regional finals of Sanremo Rock 33rd edition 2020.

Arianna MazzareseArianna Mazzarese, violinist, began her musical career at the age of six. Since then the violin has followed her through her musical and personal life. She is versed in several different genres of music, has a diploma from the excellent Conservatory L. Cherubini of Florence, and has numerous solo, classical and orchestral experience. She was part of the prestigious Italian Youth Orchestra, National Conservatory Orchestra, the New Tuscany Orchestra and she has perfomed in some of the best venues in Italy with numerous tours in cities like Rome, Milan, Brindisi, Florence, Turin, L'Aquila, Sarteano, Modena, Villasimius, Oristano, Arezzo, and Bologna collaborating with soloists and conductors of international recognitition. Today she is an active teacher of violin as well as a professional violinists.

Eleonora LoiGuitaristEleonora Loi is the guitarist and the voice of Golden Salt. She began to study music in her native Sardinia at the age of seven, forming part of the Oristano City Choir and started to study classical guitar at the age of 12. Shortly after, she began to dedicate herself to the electrical guitar which would come to be her speciality. As an electrical guitarist she was one of the founders of the rock Group Sindrome Acustica. In 2008 she moved to Florence, Tuscany, to continue her studies as well as the study of the piano. This would be bring her to reexamine the electrical guitar in another light. This would start her on a journey into classical music through the use of this versatile modern instrument.

This violin and electric guitar duo was created when Arianna Mazzarese, violinist and violist, graduate of the Music Conservatory of Florence, versed in classical pieces and a long and celebrated carrier in orchestra as well as chamber music merged with Eleonora Loi, an electrical guitarist with a rock group in her native Sardinia, and decided to create a duo with a double soul. The idea of the two artists was to bring together in this female duet the informality of a rock group and the elegance of a chamber group. Moving through pieces with a delicate balance between these two opposing music worlds; modern and classic is of no task to these two. The experiment was a huge success and the two artists also perform their own pieces and personalize songs both instrumental and with vocals, using both a classic and modern repertoire they are able to make the most diverse genres of music adapt to these two simple yet powerful instruments. The flexibility, always in the best taste, makes them adapt to wheatever context and the duo in the following years has made numerous appearances in widely ranging performances, both private and public: civil and religious marriages, partys, banquets, cocktails, accompanying poetry or readings, at town festivals and in public squares, ranging from Toscany, Sardinia, Emilia Romagna all the way to Veneto. Initially duo chose “The Price of Salt” as their performing name that became Golden Salt in 2017, and they look forward to exciting years ahead as they continue to compose their own pieces and frequently play storytellers pieces that focus on local as well as international themes.
